We had a great time! Nicole is super friendly! My son had such a wonderful experience he now wants to be a beekeeper!

My family of five enjoyed a tour on 7/29/25, our tour guide (Nicole) did not disappoint. She was very kind, patient, knowledgeable & fun. We appreciate that she took her time with explaining everything in detail and answered all of our very many questions. She interacted so well with all three of my children and we learned so much new information about bees. Ten out of ten would definitely recommend anyone to visit Bees on Main and ask for Nicole ❤️

Booking with Nicole was a breeze! She not only helped to seamlessly book a tour for our homeschool co-op but delivered an exceptionally memorable and educational experience to our group. I'd give 10 stars if I could! Nicole was pleasant, knowledgeable, and works well with kids. The hands-on tour is perfect for inquisitive minds and/or bee enthusiasts. The Nature Center is free and is an added bonus to end a day of engaging education. Looking forward to booking again in the Fall.

This was our second tour and we enjoyed it just as much as the first one. There's always something new to learn and we definitely walked away with that experience. We'll definitely be back next summer for our third tour.

We meet with Nicole this past weekend for our booking. From start to finish she is amazingly nice and so sweet, not to mention how knowledgeable she is. I thought I knew a thing or two about bees, but Nicole gave us so much new information. We loved every minute. We will definitely be booking again.

We cannot rave about Nicole and this experience enough! My family (5yr son) took the Riverfront Tour and my bee-obsessed son was hooked! Nicole is so dynamic and hands-on with the kids. We returned this week for my son’s 6th birthday gift and it was a mini-beekeeping workshop, he loved it! She goes above and beyond for her customers and makes learning about bees so much fun for kids and adults alike! We 100% will book again. And again.

We booked during the holiday week and got lucky with a perfect private tour. Nicole knows her bees! I brought my family and 5 year old as well as my Brother, SIL and little sister was ten. Nicole was very attentive to all our questions and made it a really fun great experience. I highly recommend! Of course after the tour, we were dying to try her personal stash of honey. Nicole taught us how beneficial it is to get local honey for your own health! Please, please take the tour! You won't regret it!

I highly recommend taking this BEE-rific tour!  My 6 year daughter and I had a beehive tour with Bees On Main Street at the Palmyra Cove. Suited up like (almost real!) beekeepers the tour was engaging for all ages attending---two kindergarteners and several adults---and we had the opportunity to learn all kinds of neat and interesting things about bees and their natural environment. Nicole has the unique ability to keep both children and adults engaged simultaneously (which is quite the feat!) while giving the tour and she's also great with children. While suited up in the beekeeping suits, everyone had the chance to interact (safely) with the bees, see inside the beehive, and have all of our questions answered. Following the beehive tour and after unsuiting, we taste tested honey (from Nicole's own hives) and snacked on baked goods slathered in the same yummy honey.

After a video from TikTok had led us to the apiary community, my wife become more interested in learning about beekeeping. We scoured the internet to find local hive tours, then lo and behold, we stumbled across a review for River Front hive tours… from 2017. I tried to follow the internet trail and was exited to find that after a brief hiatus, they were doing tours again, starting in a few weeks. I had reached out to Nicole, who answered all my questions and directed me to where to book if I was interested. At no time did I feel pressured to book; Nicole was informative without being pushy.

I had booked with her for her first available slot. When the time came, the weather was a bit touch and go, but we had a great time! The tour was so informative and Nicole was so personable. We had a lot of laughs, and the hour flew by. Nicole is very accommodating and puts effort into the little things, like having alcohol/sanitized wipes and bringing water and snacks.

If you are looking to support a small, local, BIPOC-owned business, then look no further. We are truly glad that we were able to book and spend time with Nicole. We look forward to attending one of her workshops in the future to get some more in-depth experience with beekeeping. Thanks Nicole!
